Performance Clutch Discs for BMW, Audi & European Cars
The clutch disc is the friction element that transfers engine torque to the transmission input shaft. When you're upgrading your clutch system or replacing a worn disc, choosing the right friction material determines pedal feel, engagement smoothness, and holding capacity. We carry discs for both street and track applications, rated by engine torque output and usage profile.
Friction Material Options
- Organic / OEM-spec: Smooth engagement, quiet operation, comfortable pedal. Standard replacement for stock or mildly upgraded engines. Best for daily drivers.
- Kevlar (aramid fiber): Higher heat resistance than organic. Long service life. Slightly more aggressive engagement than OEM. Ideal for street/track dual-use cars.
- Sprung hub vs rigid hub: Sprung hub clutch discs have dampening springs in the center that absorb driveline shock — quieter, better for street use. Rigid hub discs are stiffer, transmit torque more directly, used in race applications.
- Metallic / cerametallic: Very aggressive engagement. Designed for high-temperature racing conditions. Not suitable for street use — won't work properly until fully heat-cycled.
Fitment
Disc diameter and spline count must match your transmission input shaft. BMW 6-speed ZF/Getrag (E90/F80 M3) and Audi 6-speed manual have specific spline counts per variant. Always verify by chassis code and transmission code before ordering.
