Lowering Springs for BMW, Audi & European Cars

Lowering springs are the most straightforward way to drop ride height on a BMW or Audi. They replace the factory coil springs with shorter, firmer units — lowering the center of gravity, reducing body roll, and giving the car an aggressive stance. Unlike coilovers, springs use your factory shock absorbers and require no other changes to install.

How Much Will It Drop?

  • Comfort drop (15–25mm / 0.6–1 inch): Subtle look improvement, slightly firmer ride. Eibach Pro-Kit falls in this range. Daily-driver friendly.
  • Sport drop (25–40mm / 1–1.5 inches): Visible stance improvement, noticeably firmer. H&R Sport and Eibach Sportline live here. Still streetable on most roads.
  • Aggressive drop (40–60mm / 1.5–2.5 inches): Stance build territory. Requires careful attention to wheel fitment and alignment. May require camber adjustments to prevent tire rubbing.

Important: Pair with Matching Shocks

Lowering springs increase spring rate beyond what OEM shocks are valved for. Running lowering springs on worn or factory shocks results in a bouncy, poorly controlled ride. Pair with Bilstein B8/B6 or Koni Sport shocks for the best result. See our shock absorbers for matching options.
