Porsche Wheel Fitment: What You Need to Know
Porsche owners know that wheels aren't just cosmetic — they affect handling, brake clearance, and the entire character of the car. Whether you're replacing worn OEM units on a Boxster, upgrading to forged monoblock wheels on a 911 Carrera, or building a Cayman track car — Porsche wheel fitment has specific rules.
Bolt Pattern by Model

| 911 (997) | 5x130 | 71.6mm | 8.5J/11J x 19" |
| Boxster/Cayman (981/982/718) | 5x130 | 71.6mm | 8J/10J x 18–20" |
| Panamera (971) | 5x130 | 71.6mm | 9.5J/11.5J x 21" |
| Macan | 5x112 | 66.5mm | 7.5J x 18–21" |
| Cayenne | 5x130 | 71.6mm | 9.5J x 20–21" |
Key Fitment Rules for 911/Boxster/Cayman
5x130 is unique to Porsche — you can't run BMW or Audi wheels without an adapter. This is a feature, not a bug: it's why Porsche fitment is so consistent across generations.
Offset matters more than most people think. The 991/992 rear runs very wide — use ET55 or lower on the rear to avoid clearance issues. Fronts are more forgiving, typically ET45–ET65.
Center bore: 71.6mm is Porsche-specific. Use hub-centric rings if running aftermarket wheels with larger center bores (common on forged wheels).
Top Wheel Brands for Porsche
- OZ Racing — Motorsport lineage. Ultraleggera and Crono HT are popular 911 choices.
- BBS — German quality, widely used on factory Porsche motorsport programs. RS and RG series.
- Vorsteiner — Forged monoblock, aggressive spec, popular for widebody builds.
- Fifteen52 — Best value forged option. Turbomac HD is a proven track and street wheel.
Staggered vs Square Fitment
Most 911s run staggered setups (wider rear than front) from the factory. Boxster and Cayman can run square setups (same width front and rear) which allows tire rotation, reducing tire costs over time.
