How Easy is it to Install?
The BetterBodies Motorsport Porsche 911 997.1 Lip + Rockers Kit is designed for OEM-style fitment, with each piece molded to match the precise body lines of the 2005–2008 997.1 generation. Both components feature pre-marked mounting points for accurate placement. The front lip and side rockers include pre-installed 3M automotive-grade double-sided tape along with mounting hardware for a secure installation. All polyurethane parts require standard body shop prep (scuff, prime, paint) if you want to color match to your Porsche. While confident DIY installers can complete the installation, professional fitting is recommended for the best possible alignment and finish. If the kit is in stock, it will ship within 24–48 hours; if backordered, please allow 3–8 business days for dispatch.

Appearance
This two-piece aero kit adds an aggressive yet refined touch to the Porsche 997.1. The front lip lowers and sharpens the front profile for a sportier stance, while the side rockers extend and smooth the body’s side profile for a sleeker, more planted look. Together, they create a cohesive performance aesthetic that enhances the factory design without overwhelming it.

What is Polyurethane?
Both the lip and side rockers are made from our proprietary GT3TEK polyurethane blend, offering outstanding flexibility and durability. Unlike fiberglass or ABS plastic, polyurethane can flex under stress and return to its original shape, making it highly resistant to cracking, chipping, or breaking. This flexibility also allows for easier fine-tuning during installation to achieve OEM-quality fitment.

Performance Capabilities
While primarily a visual enhancement, this kit also improves aerodynamic efficiency. The front lip reduces front-end lift by improving airflow beneath the car, while the side rockers help channel air smoothly along the vehicle’s flanks. The result is a more stable and balanced feel at higher speeds without the drawbacks of excessive drag.

Will it Crack or Break?
ABSOLUTELY NOT - Polyurethane is built for real-world durability. It can flex upon contact with road debris, steep driveways, or curbs, then return to its original form without structural failure. Most impacts leave only minor cosmetic marks, which can be refinished if desired. Adding scrape guards to the front lip is recommended for additional protection in high-contact areas.
