Water/methanol injection (WMI) systems reduce air intake temperatures and improve combustion efficiency in turbo diesel applications, allowing an engine to deliver more power with less effort. Water/methanol injection also offers a number of benefits that promote engine longevity, including reducing carbon deposits left behind by a diesel exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) system. AEM's turbo diesel trucks and SUVs use the most robust hardware combined with more advanced features than any other comparable priced water/methanol injection system. AEM's Boost Dependent Progressive Controller for your Diesel Water/Methanol Injection Kit has a built-in MAP sensor (up to 40 PSI) with a molded-in nozzle for a boost hose pickup to ensure the proper amount of water/methanol injection at all points along the engine power curve. AEM engineers spent a lot of time developing the HD Water/Methanol Controller flow control strategy for more linear output flow delivery. This means flow delivery better matches an engine's water/methanol injection need, further improving charge air cooling and reducing EGTs. The new HD controller design features large, twist-resistant knobs and larger numbering to easily set precise start points and full activation, with covered status LEDs and test buttons for added splash resistance. A plug is built into the HD controller housings to mate with the positive locking connector of the redesigned wiring harness. The HD Boost Dependent controller housing has a barbed nipple molded to accept a boost hose (up to 40 PSI) and a wiring legend on the back. AEM's low-profile 5-gallon water/methanol diesel system tank includes a high-tech conductive low-fluid indicator with a positive locking connector and color-matched wires for the wiring harness, and baffles for reduce fluid shortage.
